Grange Fermoy A.C. was proudly represented at Day 3 of the National Juvenile Outdoor Championships in Tullamore on Saturday, 11th July by Emilie McElvaney and Rachel O’Flynn. 

Both athletes faced challenging conditions in scorching summer temperatures.

Emilie McElvaney once again showed her versatility and determination with two impressive performances in the U17 Girls competition.
In the U17 Girls Javelin, Emilie produced a best throw of 30.60 metres to claim 7th place nationally.
Later in the day, Emilie switched her focus to the track where she lined up in the highly competitive 1500m race, running a strong and well paced race to finish 8th overall in a time of 5:05.89. 

In the U19 Girls 1500m race,  Rachel O'Flynn produced a determined performance with another top ten finish at national level for the club. Rachel ran confidently to finish 3rd in Heat 2 in a time of 4:52.27, securing an overall 8th-place finish in the national rankings. 

To compete at the National Juvenile Championships is an achievement in itself, and both Emilie and Rachel can be extremely proud of their performances amongst the best athletes in the country. Massive congratulations and well done to you both ! 💪🏻
